On the morning of August 7th, the Macao Chamber of Commerce held an online preparation meeting with the three convenor organisations of the World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention—the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong, the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and the Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce. During the meeting, the Macao Chamber reported the progress of preparations and discussed various details of the upcoming convention with the convenor organisations.
Frederico Ma Chi Ngai, President of the board of directors of the Macao Chamber of Commerce, gave a detailed update on the convention’s preparations at the meeting. He noted that the response from Chinese entrepreneurs worldwide has been enthusiastic, with more than 4,000 elite attendees expected from across the world. He provided a comprehensive briefing on agenda design, supporting activities, and reception arrangements to ensure an optimal international participant experience.
Jonathan Choi, President of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong; Kho Choon Keng, President of the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Narongsak Putthapornmongkol, President of the Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, each offered guidance and highly praised the Macao Chamber’s preparatory efforts. They also provided constructive suggestions on deepening the Chinese business cooperation network and enhancing the impact of the convention. The three convenor organisations expressed their full confidence in the organisational capabilities of the Macao Chamber and pledged their full support to make this convention a platform for world Chinese entrepreneurs to build consensus and pursue development together.
The Macao Chamber of Commerce expressed its gratitude for the trust and support from the convenor organisations. The Chamber emphasized that, with the collaborative efforts of various departments of the Macao SAR Government, it would work hand in hand with all stakeholders to ensure the convention’s success and provide high-quality cooperation opportunities for Chinese entrepreneurs worldwide. Leveraging Macao’s unique role as a vital link between Mainland China and international markets, this convention will fully utilize Macao’s distinctive advantages in the “Belt and Road” initiative, promote greater connectivity for global Chinese entrepreneurs, deepen multi-level cooperation, and jointly build a community of shared future for Chinese entrepreneurs, forging a new win-win landscape. The Macao Chamber will continue to strengthen its role as a “platform among platforms,” acting as a bridge for Chinese entrepreneurs and serving the development needs of Chinese entrepreneurs worldwide.
